PORTLAND, Ore. – Men’s basketball head coaches Mick Durham of Alaska Fairbanks and Michael Ostlund of Saint Martin’s previewed the Great Northwest Athletic Conference Game of the Week with live interviews on the latest episode of GNAC Insider, which is now available as a podcast via iTunes and for archived listening in the GNAC Stretch Internet portal under the 'on-demand' tab.

Sarah Hill, Western Washington senior women’s basketball player and Red Lion Player of the Week, also joined host Kevin Young live on Episode 17 Tuesday evening.

Durham’s Nanooks have won three games in a row and six of their last seven overall heading into Thursday night’s showdown against SMU that will be televised live from Lacey, Wash., on ROOT SPORTS. The third-year head coach discussed some of his team’s key players and previewed Thursday’s game as the Nanooks make the long journey south.

Ostlund, whose Saints have had a knack for the dramatic this season, are coming off of their latest triumph in the form of a road victory over Western Oregon on Saturday. In his first season at the helm, Ostlund talked about hosting UAF on Thursday evening, as well as his team’s ability to compete with the GNAC’s best, exemplified by their 73-69 win over Seattle Pacific in December.

Hill is coming off of a 27-point 30-rebound performance last week that helped the Vikings to a pair of victories and pushed their winning streak to four games. Hill provided insight in to WWU’s new-look roster and the team’s current momentum as it gets set to defend last season’s GNAC Championship title.

GNAC Insider airs live every Tuesday at 7 p.m. Pacific time and is produced by the GNAC office in conjunction with Soundbrook. All previous episodes can be downloaded as podcasts via iTunes and listened to on the GNAC Stretch Internet portal under the ‘on-demand’ tab.
