PORTLAND, Ore. – After wrapping up his team’s fourth consecutive Great Northwest Athletic Conference title, Simon Fraser men’s soccer head coach Alan Koch shared the keys to his team’s success on the latest edition of GNAC Insider.

Episode 10 of the weekly radio program is now available as a podcast via iTunes and for archived listening via the GNAC Stretch Internet portal under the ‘on-demand’ tab.

Joining Koch on the latest program were Azusa Pacific athletic director Gary Pine as well as Central Washington women’s soccer player and first-team All-GNAC selection Savanna Moorehouse.

Amongst the best men’s soccer teams in the NCAA in most major offensive categories, Koch’s team is ranked No. 2 in the latest National Soccer Coaches Association of America top-25 and is preparing for a postseason run. Koch discussed some of the key players on his team and the recent success they have had that earned SFU GNAC Team of the Week honors.

In his second year as athletic director at Azusa Pacific, Gary Pine discussed his University’s affiliate membership with the GNAC in the sport of football. The program that Pine oversees is currently in first place in the GNAC standings, and he discussed his team’s current performance and shared some extraordinary examples of the positive impact being a member of the APU football team has had on numerous former players.

Central Washington junior midfielder Savanna Moorehouse is preparing for the 2013 GNAC women’s soccer championship tournament beginning Thursday at the Starfire Sports Complex in Tukwila, Wash. Moorehouse shared her team’s success story from finishing tied for sixth a season ago to entering this season’s tournament as the No. 2 overall seed.
