PORTLAND, Ore. – Episode 7 of GNAC Insider is now available via iTunes as a podcast as well as via the GNAC Stretch Internet portal under the 'on demand' tab.

The slate of guests in the latest episode includes Dr. Gary Gray, the athletic director at the University of Alaska Fairbanks, Diane Flick, the head volleyball coach at Western Washington University, and Ryan Looney, the head men’s basketball coach at Seattle Pacific University.

Dr. Gray was the first live guest, and he provided a perspective from Alaska and discussed the challenges and interesting factors associated with competing from long distance. 

Flick has the WWU volleyball team off to a 13-1 start this season, and the Vikings are ranked No. 7 in the latest American Volleyball Coaches Association national poll for the second consecutive week. Flick talked about her team’s impact players and the team’s preparations for its big upcoming match against first-place Alaska Anchorage this weekend. 

After being picked No. 1 in the NCAA in the Sporting News preseason men’s basketball poll, Looney is excited for the 2013-14 season to get underway. The fifth-year coach was the third and final guest on the program, and he discussed the excitement and challenges his team faces with such lofty expectations.

GNAC Insider airs live every Tuesday at 7 p.m. Pacific time and is hosted by Kevin Young of Soundbrook Audio. All episodes become available as downloadable podcasts via iTunes shortly after the completion of the live broadcast, and a complete archive of the show is also available to listen to in the ‘on-demand’ tab of the GNAC Stretch Internet portal. The live guests for next week's program will be announced the week of Oct. 21.
