PORTLAND, Ore. - A GNAC record 24-rebound performance has earned Simon Fraser center Nayo Raincock-Ekunwe the Red Lion GNAC Women's Basketball Player of the Week award.

Western Washington forward Paul Jones was selected the Red Lion GNAC Men's Player of the Week.

Raincock-Ekunwe also had 23 points as the Clan improved to 9-1 with a 87-55 victory over Trinity Western Saturday.

She broke the GNAC single-game rebound record of 23 set by Kristin Hein of Northwest Nazarene against Humboldt State on Dec. 12, 2009 and equaled by Nyesha Sims of Seattle Pacific against Alaska Fairbanks on Feb. 14, 2012.

She is the 10th GNAC player to record 20 or more rebounds in a single game, but the first to do it twice.  Raincock-Ekunwe also had 22 rebounds against Colorado State Pueblo on Nov. 25, 2011.

Saint Martin's Chelsea Haskey scored 18 points and had 15 rebounds and three blocks in the Saints' 60-56 overtime win against Puget Sound Saturday to earn honorable mention honors.

Jones scored 26 points and also had six rebounds and a pair of blocks to lead Western Washington to a 98-62 win over Thompson Rivers Sunday as the Vikings extended their win streak to 16.  That is the second longest win streak in  GNAC history and is also the second longest in WWU school history.

Receiving honorable mention honors was Jarrell Crayton of Montana State Billings.  Crayton had game highs of 22 points and nine rebounds in the Yellowjackets' 86-76 home win over Carroll (Mont.) Saturday.
