Seawolves and Falcons Remain in West Region Top 5

PORTLAND, Ore. – Alaska Anchorage and Seattle Pacific remained in the top five in the last NCAA Division II West Region poll Wednesday.

The Seawolves stayed a top the poll for the third straight week. The Falcons also didn’t change rankings after being placed in fifth in the inaugural poll.

UAA and SPU are the top two seeds in this week’s GNAC tournament and have already advanced to the semifinal rounds having the two first-round byes.

The West Region ranking will eventually determine the five West Region at-large teams that will make the regional field along with the GNAC, PacWest and California Collegiate Athletic Association champions that will be crowned this weekend.

The West Region selections will be announced Sunday, March 8, at 7:00 p.m. Pacific by the NCAA. A webcast of this announcement will be shown on NCAA.com.

NCAA Regional play will begin Friday, March 13 at a site to be determined.
