PORTLAND, Ore. - Western Washington is ranked 15th in the Women's Division II Bulletin Top 25 pre-season basketball poll.

The Vikings finished second last year in the GNAC with a 13-5 conference record and were 19-10 overall. 

Among the returning players for WWU is guard Katie Colard, who led the team in scoring averaging 14.7 points and making 78 of 198 three-pointers.

WWU is one of three GNAC teams earning Top 25 pre-season national rankings by the publication.

On the men's side, Western Washington is ranked ninth and Seattle Pacific is ranked 22nd. 

Alaska Anchorage was listed among "others to watch" in both the men's and women's division.

The GNAC Coaches pre-season polls for both the men and women will be released next week.
