INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Claiming its third consecutive conference title last month, No. 1 Simon Fraser is the lone Great Northwest Athletic Conference squad selected for the NCAA Division II Men's Soccer Championships.

Winning their seventh conference title in nine years, the Clan enter postseason play as a No. 1 seed and will host its West Region pod at Interbay Stadium in Seattle. After receiving an opening-round bye, they will take on the winner of a match between No. 4 seed Fresno Pacific (14-2-1) and No. 5 seed Cal Poly Pomona (13-5-0) on Nov. 10 at 7 p.m.

Earlier this season, Clint Schneider's team topped the Broncos 3-0 back on Sept. 2 in Pomona. Thursday's match between Cal Poly Pomona and Fresno Pacific will kickoff at 7 p.m. in Seattle.

The other side of the West Region bracket features a pair of CCAA teams facing off for the right to take on PacWest champion Azusa Pacific.

Simon Fraser ended the regular season with a record of 17-1-0 and led the GNAC in points (171), shutouts (12) and goals allowed (seven). In last year's Division II West Regional Championships, the club fell to sixth-seeded Cal Poly Pomona by a 2-1 scoreline in its only match of the postseason.
