With one tournament remaining in men’s golf, four of six teams are finished with official competition until February or March. Saint Martin’s and Concordia will take part in the final tournament of the fall season, playing at the Dennis Rose Invitational on Oct. 30 and 31 in Waikoloa, Hawaii.

CLAN KEEP SWINGIN': Saint Martin’s, Simon Fraser and Western Washington took part in the most recent tournament at the Otter Fall Invitational on Oct. 19 and 20 in Seaside, Calif. The Clan topped the group of GNAC teams, finishing fourth place overall. Simon Fraser was led by Bret Thompson, who finished tied for ninth with a three-round score of even-par 216. Chris Crisologo added a 15th place finish for the Clan with a two-over-par 218.

The Vikings placed 11th at the Otter Fall Invitational. Brett Johnson tied with Thompson for ninth place, carding an even-par-216. Johnson and Thompson were named GNAC Co-Golfers of the Week with the performances. Saint Martin’s placed 18th overall, with Ryan Pickthorn leading the team with a three-round score of 230 to tied for 64th.

CRUSADERS CRUSH COMPETITION: Northwest Nazarene won its final tournament of 2015, defeating a 10 team field at the College of Idaho Invitational on Oct. 12 and 13 in Nampa, Idaho. As a team, the Crusaders carded a three-round score of 15-under-par 849. Keynan Fanslow took the individual title for NNU, shooting a 9-under-par 207. Teammate Jack Strickland placed second just one stroke back at 8-under-par 208. Michael Delie and Justin Higgins tied for seventh with scores of 1-over-par 217.

NO PLACE LIKE HOME: In Montana State Billings final tournament of the fall season, they hosted and won the MSUB Yellowjacket Fall Invite on Oct. 8 and 9 in Billings, Mont. The Yellowjackets carded a two-round team score of 2-over-par 578 to win the six team tournament. Connor Miele placed third overall, shooting a 1-under-par 143. Braden Luper and Michael Porter tied for fifth place, each with a score of 1-over-par 145.

THE FINAL COUNTDOWN: Concordia has not competed since Sept. 22 in the Western Washington Invitational. They will be in the final tournament of the fall season for GNAC teams along with Saint Martin’s at the Dennis Rose Invitational. The Cavaliers placed sixth at the WWU Invitational, led by an 11th place finish by Phillip Kennedy, who shot a three-round score of 216.
