In our latest installment of the Best of GNAC Insider, Robert Lowery talks with Western Washington senior women's soccer defender Emily Nelson.

Named the 2019 GNAC Defensive Player of the Year, Nelson talks about that honor and how the whole Western Washington defensive line came together over the last four seasons. She also discusses the Vikings' 2-1 win over Seattle Pacific in the GNAC Championships at Interbay Stadium, what drew her academically to Western Washington and her future career ambitions as a kinesiology major.
