PORTLAND, Ore. - GNAC Insider returned Tuesday night at 7:00 p.m. (PST) with four wide-ranging guests to close the month of February.

Starting off the show was Great Northwest Athletic Conference commissioner Dave Haglund. It is a busy time at the conference office as the GNAC recently announced the creation of a scheduling alliance with the Lone Star Conference. Haglund joined the program to talk more about this groundbreaking alliance, which is scheduled to cover the 2020 and 2021 seasons.

A little bit of GNAC Insider history was made on Tuesday when Seattle Pacific junior Gillian Edgar became the first rower to join the show. Edgar is in the middle of her third season and was recently selected by the NCAA as the GNAC's National Student-Athlete Advisory Committee Representative.

Fresh off a season in which she earned All-American honors and helped lead the Falcons to a top-eight final national ranking, Edgar's team is off to a solid start on the 2018-19 campaign. She will be back in action next week in Lakewood, Washington, at the PLU Invitational on March 9.

On the hardwood, the Concordia women's basketball team is preparing for its final week of regular season competition. The Cavaliers will host both Saint Martin's and Seattle Pacific this week as they close in on the program's first-ever trip to the GNAC Championships.

At the helm in Portland is head coach Sean Kelly, now in his fifth season with the Cavaliers. His club is the reigning GNAC Team of the Week and is currently riding a three-game winning streak, hitting its stride as the calendar flips from February to March. Kelly joined the show to talk about the week that was while previewing what lies ahead for CU.

GNAC Insider was also joined by Seattle Pacific track and field head coach Karl Lerum. The Falcons' women's team took home the title earlier this month at the GNAC Indoor Track and Field Championships and is now preparing for next week's NCAA Division II Championships in Pittsburg, Kansas. Lerum is in his 13th season at the helm in Seattle and made his Insider debut on Tuesday night.
