INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – A trio of teams representing the Great Northwest Athletic Conference have advanced to the 2018 Division II Women's Soccer Championships, as announced Monday afternoon during the NCAA Selection Show.

No. 17 Concordia, No. 6 Western Washington and Seattle Pacific will all see their seasons continue in the NCAA Division II West Regional, beginning on Thursday, Nov. 8. The three clubs will return to the site of last week's GNAC Championships, taking to Tuominen Yard in Portland to continue postseason play.

No. 2 in the West Region, the Cavaliers will host the No. 7 seed Falcons on Nov. 8 at 2 p.m. The match will mark SPU's third consecutive contest against CU, coming on the heels of a double-overtime draw in the regular season finale and a 2-1 loss in the GNAC Championships semifinals. Both of those matches were also played at Tuominen Yard.

Qualifying for their seventh-straight NCAA Division II Championships, the No. 3 seed Vikings will also be in Portland to start tournament play. They will open with No. 6 seed Sonoma State on Nov. 8 at 11 a.m.

Western Washington won the GNAC regular-season title, finishing with a 16-3-1 overall record. The Vikings are 7-3-1 in contests played away from home in 2018.

In its second season as a full Division II member, Concordia is making its second NCAA postseason appearance. The Cavaliers captured the GNAC Championships title on Saturday, besting Western Washington in overtime on a golden goal from forward Sydney Van Steenberge. They enter the NCAA Championships with a record of 14-1-3.
