PORTLAND, Ore. – The conference’s weekly online radio live show GNAC Insider aired on Tuesday at 7 p.m. Pacific, featuring Western Oregon men’s basketball forward Tanner Omlid, Northwest Nazarene baseball coach Rocke Musgraves and Western Washington women’s basketball forward Kiana Gandy.

Omlid came onto the show after breaking the GNAC’s single-game steals record en route to a triple-double of 18 points, 15 rebounds and 11 steals. It was just the fourth triple-double in conference history. He was also three assists away from a quadruple-double in Saturday’s 84-70 win against Seattle Pacific on ROOT Sports. Omlid averages team-bests of 14.9 points and 7.2 rebounds per game for the Wolves, who go into Thursday’s game at Western Washington just one game out of first place. Western Oregon, which enters the week with a five-game winning streak, will also play at Simon Fraser on Saturday.

Musgraves is in his fourth year at the helm of the Northwest Nazarene baseball program, which he turned into a GNAC champion for the first time in program history last season. The Crusaders are picked to repeat in 2017 in the GNAC Preseason Coaches Poll. The Crusaders returned four starting position players this year, including catcher Andrew Helmstadter, who was a preseason All-West Region selection. They will open the season at Cal State L.A. with a four-game set this weekend.

Gandy has been a key figure in Western Washington women’s basketball’s success this season. The Vikings are ranked No. 12 in the D2SIDA Media Poll and are currently riding a 13-game winning streak, which is the 11th longest winning streak in conference history. Gandy averages 12.3 points and 4.3 rebounds per game. Western Washington will play Seattle Pacific on Thursday in a battle between the two winningest programs in GNAC history. Seattle Pacific has led the conference in all-time conference victories at the end of every season, but Western Washington currently holds a 221-218 advantage with six games left in the season.
