PORTLAND, Ore. – Episode 68 of GNAC Insider aired this Tuesday at 7 p.m Pacific. Guests for the episode were Simon Fraser cross country runner Oliver Jorgensen, Central Washington volleyball setter Catie Fry and Northwest Nazarene soccer forward Erik Anderson.

Jorgensen is a junior cross country runner for SFU and is having a strong start to the 2015 season. Jorgensen was named the GNAC Runner of the Week for the second-straight week after placing 22nd overall in 24:22 at the Stanford Invitational, a meet that includes many Division I teams. Jorgensen led Simon Fraser to an eighth-place finish overall, the top placing non-Division I school. The week before, Jorgensen finished second place at the competetive Sundodger Invitational. This field consisted of over 250 runners, with the top three crossing the finish line within three seconds of each other. The Clan is ranked No. 14 in the USTFCCCA Division II Poll. Jorgensen spoke about his success at the Sundodger and Stanford Invitationals, how he has grown as a runner since his freshman campaign and the his team's continued success in the early season.

Fry is a senior setter for the Central Washington volleyball team that has started the season 3-1 in conference and 7-4 overall. A four-year starter, Fry is leading the team and ranks second in the GNAC in assists (452) and assists per set (10.51). As a junior, Fry was Honorable Mention All-American, First Team All-Region and First Team All-GNAC. Coming into this season, she was fourth in CWU history in assists (2,714). The Wildcats hosted their last two matches, winning a five-setter against Simon Fraser on Saturday after dropping another five-setter versus rival Western Washington on Thursday. The Western Washington match drew the highest attendance this year at a Division II volleyball match and broke the CWU record with 1,687 fans. Fry spoke about the atmosphere at home against WWU, her individual play as an All-American and the team's remaining schedule in the GNAC.

Anderson is a senior forward for the No. 22-ranked Northwest Nazarene men’s soccer team. Anderson is second on the team in shots (20) and has two assists on the year. In 2014, Anderson was second on the team in goals (10) and points (25) and was Second Team All-Region. This season, the Crusaders are tied for first in the conference with a 2-0-1 record. They played No. 3-ranked Seattle Pacific to a 0-0 draw on the road, following it up with a 2-1 win over Saint Martin’s. Anderson has helped the Crusaders' balanced approach the past two seasons, leading the team to their first NCAA Tournament and tournament win in 2014. Anderson spoke about the 0-0 draw against Seattle Pacific, comparisons between his junior and senior seasons and the program's turnaround into a yearly contender.
