PORTLAND, Ore. – The third episode of GNAC Insider is now on iTunes and GNAC.TV.

Guests included two athletic directors, Western Washington’s Steve Card and Central Washington’s Dennis Francois; former Saint Martin’s first baseman and current chair of NCAA DII Student-Athlete Advisory Committee, Spencer Dodd; and Seattle Pacific men’s soccer coach, Mark Collings.

Card is in his first full year as Western Washington’s athletic director after serving as the interim director last year. Card talked about the newly opened Robert S. Harrington Field that will house the Vikings men’s and women’s soccer teams. The Vikings have not played soccer matches on campus since 2000.

Francois will see his hard work come to fruition on Saturday as Central Washington will take on Simon Fraser in the first ever Washington National Guard Battle for the Border. The game will be played in Bothell, Wash., at Pop Keeney Stadium starting at 6 p.m. Pacific.

Dodd discussed his new position as the chair of NCAA DII Student-Athlete Advisory Committee and the GNAC SAAC retreat scheduled for this weekend in Anchorage.

Collings talked about men’s soccer and how the Falcons are off to a great start. The Falcons are unbeaten after five games, posting four wins (including a 2-0 win at Saint Martin's in their conference opener Saturday) and also earning a draw.

GNAC Insider airs live at 7 p.m. Pacific time every Tuesday and is produced by the conference office. All episodes become available as free podcasts via iTunes, and for archived listening via GNAC.TV.
