PORTLAND, Ore. – The latest episode of GNAC Insider, featuring three live guests to preview upcoming Great Northwest Athletic Conference spring sports championships, is now available as a free podcast via iTunes.

Western Oregon softball head coach Lonny Sargent, Montana State Billings baseball head coach Rob Bishop, and Saint Martin’s softball player Lacey McGladrey each joined host Kevin Young on Episode 31.

Sargent’s Wolves secured the 2014 GNAC softball regular season title, and will take the No. 1 overall seed into this week’s conference tournament. Sargent, the 2014 GNAC Coach of the Year, discussed his team’s success thus far and talked about facing Saint Martin’s in the first round of the GNAC Championships on Thursday. 

Bishop’s Yellowjackets are currently in the running for the third and final GNAC Baseball Championships berth, facing a six-game series against Northwest Nazarene this weekend to close the regular season. Bishop previewed the matchup against the third-place Crusaders, and talked about some of his key players including junior Brody Miller.

McGladrey, whose Saints earned the No. 4 berth heading into this week’s GNAC Softball Championships, is currently batting .382 during her senior campaign. McGladrey discussed what it will take for Saint Martin’s to defend last season’s GNAC title and the team’s first-round matchup against Western Oregon.
