PORTLAND, Ore. – Episode 19 of GNAC Insider is now available as a free podcast on iTunes and for archived listening via the GNAC Stretch Internet portal under the 'on-demand' tab.

Seattle Pacific women’s basketball coach Julie Heisey, Central Washington softball coach Mallory Holtman-Fletcher, and ROOT SPORTS color analyst and long-time Pacific Northwest basketball personality Dave Harshman joined host Kevin Young live on Tuesday’s broadcast.

Heisey, whose Falcons are currently in a four-way tie for second place in the GNAC women’s basketball standings, discussed her team’s recent road victory over Western Washington and what it will take to make a strong push towards the upcoming GNAC championship tournament in March.

Harshman, who has been involved with basketball in Washington for the past four decades and currently serves as part of the broadcast team for ROOT SPORTS’ GNAC Game of the Week series, provided insight to his deep-running relationship with many of the current players and coaches in the GNAC. Harshman also gave a preview of Saturday’s men's GNAC Game of the Week, between Northwest Nazarene and Western Oregon at 5 p.m. Pacific time in Monmouth. 

Holtman-Fletcher, whose Wildcats were slated to finish second in the 2014 GNAC softball preseason coaches’ poll, reviewed her team’s preparations for the Desert Stinger this week. The softball tournament in Las Vegas is hosted by Montana State Billings, and features 32 teams from the West, Central and South Central regions.
