PORTLAND, Ore. – Episode 11 of GNAC Insider is now available as a downloadable podcast via iTunes and for archived listening via the Great Northwest Athletic Conference Stretch Internet portal. The latest installment of the weekly program featured a pair of guests from GNAC women’s soccer teams, as well as a volleyball head coach.

Travis Connell, head coach of the Western Washington women’s soccer team, Chris Green, head coach of Alaska Anchorage volleyball, and Natalie Harold, Seattle Pacific’s women’s soccer goalkeeper were each interviewed live on the latest program.

Connell’s Vikings earned the No. 2 seed in the NCAA Division II West Regional tournament, granting WWU a first round bye in the playoffs and hosting rights for the first two rounds. Connell discussed the success his team has had in completing the season with a 17-1-1 overall record and a look ahead into this week’s playoff game.

Green, who made his second appearance as a guest on GNAC Insider, has his team in a deadlock for first place in the GNAC volleyball standings with Western Washington. Green talked about the upcoming match between the Seawolves and Vikings on Thursday, which will push one of the teams into sole possession of first place.

SPU won the 2013 GNAC women’s soccer tournament on Saturday, and Harold was a big reason for the Falcons’ success as she made nine total saves and was named Most Valuable Player. SPU earned the No. 6 seed to the West Regional tournament, and Harold discussed her team’s upcoming playoff match this week against Sonoma State on Thursday.
