PORTLAND, Ore. - Jarrell Crayton of Montana State Billings and Ally Schmitt of Central Washington are the Great Northwest Athletic Conference Red Lion Men's and Women's Basketball Players of the Week for their performances during the Week of Dec. 10-16, 2012.

Crayton (F, 6-7, Sr., Bellevue, NE – Boise State) had 14 points and 14 rebounds accounting for 23.0 and 36.8 percent of his team's totals in a 71-61 loss Friday at Grand Canyon. 

Crayton made seven of 13 shots and also had a pair of steals.  His rebound total was the most for a MSUB player since Robert Mayes grabbed 15 against SPU on Feb. 18.

Schmitt (G, 5-8, Jr., Snohomish, WA – Montana State) set a GNAC single-game record with 16 assists in a 79-57 home win against Evergreen State Friday.  Schmitt also led the Wildcats in the contest with four steals. 

She broke the GNAC single-game assist record of 14 set by Heidi Buehler of Northwest Nazarene against Albertson on Dec. 29, 2003

Earning honorable mention honors were Chelsea Haskey of Saint Martin’s and  Megan Hingston of Northwest Nazarene.
